Johannes Sappl is a PhD student at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. After achieving his Master's degree in Technical Mathematics in 2017, he joined the Interactive Graphics and Simulation Group as well as the Unit of Environmental Engineering, where Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is of interest for practical applications. Together with Fernando Zorrilla he is currently working on accelerating computationally expensive numerical simulations of incompressible fluids through machine learning techniques. Johannes Sappl lives in Innsbruck, Austria.
